It was a very hot day in San Diego today so no doubt about what the dessert should be: Something to cool us down so we decided on Ice Cream. I anyway wanted to publish that recipe and here was the chance - select the pictures below for each recipe. Ulla got us chicken wings at the Poway farmers market and grilling them with a variety of dipping sauces sounded like a good idea. A good Saturday feast doesn't necessarily have to involve some expensive piece of protein. For side dishes we settles on boiled broccoli, salad and Ulla's Black Truffle Zoodles (zucchini noodles, excellent replacement for pasta). Add in some guacamole as well, it's awesome!
When we started transitioning to Paleo, we also started the tradition to have an extra special dinner on Saturdays. This is the day where we spend extra effort on cooking something exciting because we have more time and we typically shop big on Farmer's market so we have everything fresh. It's generally the only day of the week that we have dessert.
